    MINI Insured Emergency Service helps you out if you get into motoring difficulties in the UK, Republic of Ireland and Continental Europe. It can be purchased either on its own or in conjunction with MINI Insured Warranty.

    Overview.

    MINI Insured Emergency Service has been designed to provide assistance for MINI drivers in the event of motoring complications. You and your MINI are covered whether you are at home, on the road in the United Kingdom or travelling in the Republic of Ireland and most of Continental Europe. 


    In the event that you require assistance, MINI Insured Emergency Service will arrange support for you utilising an extensive network of Emergency Service centres, manned 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, by experienced multi-lingual staff. With a range of comprehensive benefits such as a hire car* and vehicle redelivery*, you can rest assured that MINI Insured Emergency Service will take care of you and your MINI. 


    MINI Insured Emergency Service can either be purchased on its own or with a MINI Insured Warranty. If you choose not to include MINI Insured Emergency Service with your MINI Insured Warranty, you will still be provided with UK roadside recovery to your nearest MINI Retailer. 


    We’re going back to basics with our new MINI Insured Emergency Service Essential, which offers you roadside assistance or recovery that covers your MINI at home, on the road in the United Kingdom or the Republic of Ireland only. 


    MINI Insured Emergency Service Essential cannot be purchased alongside a MINI Insured Warranty.



    To get a quote, you will need your vehicle registration number and the exact current mileage of your car. If you were sent a reminder letter you also will require the PIN and login name detailed on it. The service history of the Insured Vehicle will be required by the repairing Retailer in the event of a claim. The service history should be supported by corresponding VAT invoices from the servicing or repairing Retailer.

    MINI Insured Emergency Service Details of Cover.

    Assistance.

    Wherever possible, we will endeavor to arrange assistance by a dedicated MINI Customer Service Vehicle. If the problem cannot be resolved and your MINI is immobilised we will arrange for recovery to the nearest Authorised MINI Centre or MINI Service Authorised Workshop (or to the one nearest your home address).

    If the vehicle cannot be repaired by the MINI Team at the MINI Centre within four hours, we can provide a replacement vehicle for up to 2 working days or arrange onward mobility. Alternatively, we will arrange hotel accommodation if this is the most convenient solution.

    Once your MINI is repaired we will arrange for it to be redelivered back to you.

    For assistance required within Continental Europe we will repatriate you and your vehicle if the vehicle cannot be repaired before the end of your planned return date.

    Storage.

    If your MINI needs to be stored following recovery by MINI Insured Emergency Service, we will pay for the cost of storage up to a maximum of £50 in the UK or £100 in Europe.

    Travel.

    If repairs to your MINI cannot be completed within four hours we will, wherever possible, pay for you and your passengers to continue your journey or return home.

    If you break down more than 50 miles from your home address, and an overnight stay is a more practical option, we will pay for bed and breakfast accommodation. You are entitled to up to £100 per person within the UK (£150 in Greater London).

    If you are travelling in Europe and your car repairs require you to stay overnight, we will pay the costs of hotel accommodation for up to four days.

    Replacement vehicle hire

    Replacement Vehicle Hire.

    If MINI Insured Emergency Service cannot repair your vehicle within four hours we will, whenever possible, organise and pay for a replacement vehicle for up to two days (or two weeks in Europe, then three days upon your return to the UK).

    The rental provider will need to see your valid driving licence and you will be asked for a deposit to cover petrol charges and any additional days hire.

    Redelivery.

    Providing your MINI has been recovered by MINI Insured Emergency Service to a MINI Centre or MINI Service Authorised Workshop (other than your local Authorised MINI Centre or MINI Service Authorised Workshop) we will arrange for it to be returned to your home address in the UK.

    Alternatively, if you wish to collect your vehicle personally, we will pay the appropriate costs to enable you to do so.

    If your vehicle is repatriated from Europe, we will organise and pay for it to be returned to the Authorised MINI Centre or MINI Service Authorised Workshop nearest to your home address in the UK. If you then wish to collect your vehicle personally, we will arrange and pay the costs for you.

    Glass Breakage

    Glass Breakage.

    In the event of a glass breakage in the UK, we can contact an Authorised MINI Centre, MINI Service Authorised Workshop or MINI glass supplier on your behalf to arrange replacement.

    Alternatively, if a repair cannot be dealt with at your location, we can arrange to have your vehicle stored securely until the necessary parts are available for repair.

    Please note: other MINI Insured Emergency Service benefits do not apply to glass breakage, and that you will be liable for the cost of the repair or replacement

    Yes. The price for 12 months cover for MINI Insured Emergency Service is £119.39 and for MINI Insured Emergency Service Essential is £59.00.

    Both types of cover will last for 12 months from the day it commences.

    Do I have an existing MINI Emergency Service Policy?

    If your vehicle was registered from new in the UK and not imported, as part of your new car warranty you are automatically entitled to three years MINI Emergency Service cover from the date of first registration. 12 months MINI Emergency Service is also included within a MINI Approved Used Car Warranty.     If I have MINI Insured Emergency Service or MINI Insured Emergency Service Essential already will I receive notification about renewing my cover before it expires?

    Yes, you will receive a postal reminder from MINI Insured Emergency Services one month prior to your expiry date.     If I arrange MINI Insured Emergency Service or MINI Insured Emergency Service Essential today when does the cover start?

    Cover will commence 24 hours following your instruction, subject to payment authorisation.


    If you already have an existing MINI Insured Emergency Service or MINI Insured Emergency Service Essential policy, cover begins from the expiry date of your current policy.

    Will the policy cover anyone who drives the vehicle?

    Both MINI Insured Emergency Service and MINI Insured Emergency Service Essential cover your vehicle; therefore any driver will receive assistance if required.

    Is the cover transferable to another car?

    No, cover is not transferable between vehicles, although if you sell your MINI privately then you are able to transfer either policy type to the new owner should you so wish.

    With MINI Insured Emergency Service, we will keep you mobile in the most appropriate manner to your circumstances. If a replacement vehicle is required, we will arrange this for two working days. The duration is extended if you require assistance in Continental Europe. With MINI Insured Emergency Service Essential no car hire or onward travel benefits are included.

    Can I expect any assistance if I have a MINI Insured Warranty policy but opt not to include MINI Insured Emergency Service in my policy?

    Yes. A facility for UK roadside recovery only - Warranty Assist - is included with MINI Insured Warranty. 


    Please note that this service is limited to recovery to the nearest retailer within the UK only and does not include recovery from your home and is not a replacement for the full assistance services and benefits provided by MINI Insured Emergency Service.
